Pickle N' Poker Palooza Night Owls - 4/18/25

Pickle N' Poker at Oxford Downs 17996 S-US Highway 301, Summerfield, FL, 34491
Organized by Johnny Kong
Pickle N' Poker Palooza Morning Crew is no more as there was too much pickleball already happening in the morning. We will now have Night Owls on the first and third Fridays of the month, evenings (7-9p)  at the Pickle N' Poker at Oxford Downs.

If you have not been to Pickle N' Poker before, it's social open play and we generally line paddles up on the rail near court 3. When you arrive, please check in at the bar and you'll receive a wrist band to indicate you are signed in to play.

Beginning in Oct 2024, Oxford Downs established the following charges:

  • $16 per court per hour ($4 per person per foursome, $8 per person singles)
  • $5 per person per open play event

As we generally have a high turnout for these events, we will charge $5 per person per event if we get 32 or more people signing up. If we have less than 32, I may need to collect an extra $2 on the evening of that event.

Payments must be made to me within 24 hrs of your signup or I will remove you the registration. For us to have all 6 courts for 2 hrs, I need to pay $192 up front to hold the reservation for the group.

Payments will be electronic only using one of the following methods (e-commerce is not enabled on this site so use the methods below, thanks):

  • Venmo (@Johnny-Kong-13)
  • Zelle (352-446-6269 or johnnykong@me.com)

If you cancel 24 hrs before the event, I will refund your cost. Inside of 24 hrs, I will hold your cost as credit towards your next signup. If you cancel within 4 hrs, you forfeit your cost.

We can try to get all 6 courts but that means we need guaranteed turnout! Here's how many courts we will try to get based on your responses:

  • 8-10 people = 2 courts
  • 12-16 people = 3 courts
  • 18-22 people = 4 courts
  • 24-30 people = 5 courts
  • 32+ people = 6 courts
I'm not getting into any battles about higher and lower rated players but if we need to, divide the courts, half for 4.0+ and half for 4.0-. We all started somewhere and I prefer we all play together.
You must have an id with the CourtReserve app, join the "Pickle N' Poker at Oxford Downs' organization, and electronically sign their waiver.
