If you haven’t already heard via direct email or through the grapevine, changes are coming to King Kong Tournaments, but first, the Men’s 3.0 Double is coming up Feb 04, 2024
The Men’s 3.0 Doubles Tournament that had been scheduled for Dec 17, 2023 is now taking place on Feb 04. 2024. There are presently 8 teams that are signed up so I need those teams to confirm their status. With that being said, signups remain open so if you are available, I’m looking for at least 10 more teams to join so that we can have a full bracket of play. Secondly, the Men’s 3.0 Double will be the final King Kong Tournament to use signupgenius.com. I’ve launched a new website, King Kong Tournaments – Pickleball Tournaments in The VIllages, FL that includes the tournament schedule, its sign ups plus some of the updates for past and current tournaments that were exclusively in Facebook (now you can keep up to date without being on Facebook). While you do not need to have an account to browse the site, if you plan on joining any of the King Kong Tournaments, then you will be asked to register for an account at the time of signing up. The same general rules will apply as before for any upcoming event. Registration will open 11 days, (Wednesdays) from an event at 4pm. This will be more automated now and I will soon defer on sending mass emails to notify everyone that a tournament is scheduled and hope you will visit the website on a regular basis to see what’s coming up. In addition to these King Kong Tournaments, I will add tournaments that are run by other pickleball enthusiasts to the calendar.
As you visit the website, please review the FAQ – King Kong Tournaments for navigating the menu and also about the process for signing up for a tournament (it’s a long webpage so please continue to scroll through the page to find what you are looking for – I will be redesigning this section in the future). The website is new so you can expect it to evolve over time.
