We almost squeezed all 5 games in before the rains came and drove us off the courts. Fortunately for us, with the games played in progress, it was plain to see that Bob Rich and Bob McCollough racked up enough wins to claim the Gold with a 3-0 record and were on their way to becoming 4-0 when rain interrupted play.
Silver could have been up for grabs between the team of Don Bourque and Larry Roberts, Roger Pierce and Rich Fuleky, and Frank Pindulic and Jon Huffman but that would have required a win by both Roger and Rich and by Frank and Jon to tie each up with 2 wins. With the rain shortened games, Don and Larry were ahead of Frank and Jon, 4-1, and Roger and Rich trailed Bob and Bob, 2-8, giving the Silver to Don and Larry.
That left a 3 way deadlock for the Bronze. Each of the remaining teams had 1 win against each other so it came down to Points For in deciding third place on that distinction went to Roger and Rich with at least 41 points for, to 37 for John Patton and Bob Elliott and 24 for Frank and Jon.
