It took a little work but we have a full slate of 18 teams ready to duke it out! And, wow, what a lineup we have for the King Kong Tournaments Men’s Doubles Age 64 and Younger this Sunday, August 4, 10a at Ezell! Can’t make it in person, you can watch the live stream from the YT channel:
Going to try something a little different from my usual format and we’ll be doing 3 brackets of 6 instead of the 5 random draw games. Here, each bracket will play 5 round robin games. The top 3 teams in each bracket will make it into the medal rounds and the 4th team will be the best of the rest. That means you don’t want to be blown out in any game and if you want to contend for the medal, you do want to win big in your games as the finalists will be determined by Wins, Head-to-Head Wins, Total Points and then Points Differential.
For the round robin games, these will be games to 11, win by 1, switch ends at 6. First server will be determined by the first team on the draw putting a 1 or 2 behind their back and having the other team guess the number.
For the Finals, I’ll poll to see if the group wants to play to 11, win by 2 or 1.
Here is your bracket for this Sunday:
