First, I want to thank Ted Kegeris and Chas Popplestone for providing the use of their Vaptrs to help dry the courts. It was a herculean effort and I want to thank everyone who pitched in to get the games in today. And Fred Veenstra, thanks for filling my shoes again with me down with the flu. You all are amazing!
In the Blue bracket, it will be the Double D’s, the Honey Badgers and Kitchen Carnage moving on to the Cream of the Courts round. Each team went 4-0 to close out the regular season.
In the White bracket, it’s the Lobsters, WIZARDS and the Final Four who move on. The Lobsters completed a perfect season and show no signs of slowing down going into the playoff rounds, albeit Mary Ellen Dowsett and Kathy Pals almost took a game against Sharon Miller and Kristen Nagrani and Mary Ellen with Danny almost did it again in their first Mixed Doubles 1 game agains Sharon and Andy Biederman.
All is not lost for all the other teams as they still get to play in the Gerkin consolation round.
