The Mixed 3.0 goes to Ilene and Peter!

The team of Suzi Smith and Brian Hayes and Ilene Greenberg and Peter David managed to go unbeaten in the first 5, with Suzi and Brian edging out Ilene and Peter with a +31 v +24 point differential for first place. In 3rd were John and Suzanne Maisto with a single loss by 2 points and 4th went to Scott Cannon and Julee Johanson with 45 points and who just managed to signup yesterday.

Ilene and Peter finished with the Gold by first defeating John and Suzanne 11-6 in their Semis, and then taking down Scott and Julee 11-3 in the Gold-Silver game. Scott and Julee earned their way to Silver by winning 11-3 over Suzi and Brian. In the Bronze, Suzi and Brian just ran out of gas, losing 4-11 to John and Suzanne, earning them the 3rd place medal. Kongratulations!

Thanks again for the fans who came to watch and to my volunteers, Chas Popplestone, Diane Fuleky, and Tony Chiravolo, for keeping the scoreboard square. I couldn’t do this without you. Special thanks to Moon Toomey for the cold and cough med – I needed that today!

  • Signups for the Mixed 4.5+ opens on Tuesday, 4/30 at 8:30p

Here are the photos from the Mixed 3.0. I had to switch from my dslr to my GoPro as the lens was having problems communicating with the camera body (*sigh*  technology).

Here’s the link to the King Kong Tournaments YT channel. The original live stream is there plus the Semis 2 v 3, Bronze, and Gold-Silver games. I lost the Semis 1 v 4 feed after moving the camera and then having it stop recording just after I started. Go figure!

For the playoff game video, here are the time stamps:

  • Semis 2 v 3 0:00
  • Bronze 17:43
  • Gold-Silver 35:40

There will be an edited version of the live stream to fix the screen orientation and trim the output for just the tournament. These are the time stamps for the games:

  • Intro 0:00
  • Game 1 6:00
  • Game 2 29:00
  • Game 3 50:20
  • Game 4 1:16:50
  • Game 5 1:35:10

I though I lost the feed after the teams switched ends – my fault as I though the feed died but in reviewing, it was still recording but didn’t look like it was – I’ll get this right eventually!
