It was another fantastic Sunday at the King Kong Tournaments! The weather finally felt a bit more normal than the 100+F heat index that we’ve been experiencing of late. Regardless, the Super Gremlins stayed white hot by extending their unbeaten match streak to 8 going into the midsummer break, winning over both the Slice is Right and Aceholes.
The Dinkin’ Donuts made their move into second by first taking out the Smashers and then driving the Slice right out of the way in their second match.
Let’s Make a Dill kept pace by polishing off the Gangsta’s and completed their 2 match sweep of the Smashers. The Dill trail Dinkin’ by a slim 1 pt margin.
The Slice is Right managed to stay in the top 4 despite losing both their matches today to the Gremlins and Donuts.
Staying in the middle of the pack are the Aceholes moving up to the 5th spot, followed by Carpe Dinkem and Dink-N Go-Nuts, each with 10 pts but the tiebreaker going to Dinkem with a better win/loss of 18-15 to 15-18 and total points scored of 664 to 626, respectively. The Aceholes stayed ahead of Dinkem by gaining 2 points in their Dreambreaker win over Dinkem. Carpe moved ahead of Go-Nuts with a 4-0 sweep in their second match.
Bringing up the rear are the Gangsta’s, gaining 3 pts with their win over the Smashers and staying at 8th, followed by the Smashers in 9th and Crashers in 10th.
