FAQ
Below are guides for the menu bar and the steps for signing up for a tournament.
Menu Bar
Primary Menu. Contains four main menus:
- Schedule
- About Us
- Pickle Barrel
- Log In [Log Out]
Schedule Menu. Contains four sub menu items:
- All Tournaments
- Other Tournaments
- PCVG and Rec Dept Tournaments
- Special Events
The primary Schedule menu will show a list of tournaments specific to King Kong Tournaments. You may apply a filter by date or by type of tournament or enter your own search parameter.
All Tournaments will show all tournaments that has been captured and entered into this website. Not all events have been recorded but as time permits and people share their tournaments with me, it will wind up here.
Other Tournament are some of the non-King Kong Tournaments made known to me. As others inform me, this page will be updated to reflect them.
PCVG and Rec Dept Tournaments is the calendar of events from the PCVG. They are currently not entered into the All Tournaments list but as time permits, will find their way there. Clicking on the image will provide you with a pdf version you can save.
About Us Menu. Contains two sub menus:

The FAQ is this page that will describe what’s in each menu and also walk through the booking process.
Contact Us is a form for you to provide feedback to the site administrator.
Pickle Barrel Menu. Contains three sub menus:

We are the Champions. This is the blog page with the posts that pretain to the weekly winners of the King Kong Tournaments.
Tournament Stories. This is the blog page with all the blog posts made to King Kong Tournaments.
Searching for… This is the blog post where there will be posts pertaining to people looking for partners. Use the comments to initiate your search.
Log In [Log Out] Menu.
If you are not logged in, will bring up the Log In form to sign in to the website.
If you are logged in, will log you out.
User Profile is you accounts page and will show you if you have any tournaments that you may have signed up for (only the primary person will see their signups, teammates will not see a signup on their account page and must rely on the primary player signing up to inform them they are playing).
Signing up for a Tournament

From the Schedule of Upcoming King Kong Tournaments, find the event you want to participate in. For illustration purposes, these FAQs will use a ‘Test Event’.
You may use the Search feature and use filters by Date or Event Type to narrow the tournament lists.
When you have located the tournament you are interested in, click on “Sign Me Up”.
After you click on “Sign Me Up” you will be taken to the event details where a fuller description of the tournament. If there are other participants signed up, it will be presented here, as well (see later screenshot after you have completed your reservation).
Proceed with signing up by clicking on “Sign Up Now”.
After you click on “Sign Up Now” you will be presented with a ‘Playing’ ticket. You may only sign up for one ticket at a time.
Under the ticket title, you will see how many tickets/signups are available.
Click “Add Details & Checkout” to proceed with the signup or “Close” to cancel the process.
After clicking on,“Add Details & Checkout” you will be asked to provide your name, email address, phone number, and teammate name as mandatory items. If you have your teammate’s email and phone, please enter those in the relevant fields. As before, if you do not yet have a partner, you may use ‘TBD’ as a placeholder for you to find a partner up to two days ahead of the tournament.
You may also consider clicking on the checkbox for joining the newsletter mailing list. The newsletter is still in the planning phase and will not be implemented at the formal launch of this website. I suggest selecting it so that you will be included once it is launched.
Click on “Confirm” to proceed or “Cancel” to stop.
If after you click “Confirm” but are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in.
Sign in to continue.
If after you click “Confirm” but do not have an account yet, you will be prompted to create an account.
Please fill in your name, a username, your email address, and a password.
Click on “Confirm” to continue.
If you are logged in or successfully created your account, you will come to the confirmation screen.
Click on “Confirm Booking” to continue or “Cancel” to stop.
When you have successfully submitted your tournament booking, you will be presented with the ‘Booking Details’ screen with the information you provided when signing up. This booking details will also be emailed to you as a further confirmation of your signup. The email will only go to you and you will need to inform your partner separately.
If you click on “Account Area” from the ‘Booking Details’ screen, you will be taken to your ‘User Profile’ page.
You can also reach this page from the ‘Log In [Log Out] submenu for ‘User Profile’.

Pay attention to the top of the ‘Booking Confirmation’ page as there will be a timer showing how much time you have left to complete your reservation (you have 4 minutes).
You may be able to cancel your tournament reservation if you are more than 2 days out from the event starting.
To cancel a signup, find and click the “Cancel Booking” link on the right hand set of links.
If you need to modify your booking, go to your ‘User Profile’ and select “My Bookings” to bring up the list of tournaments you have signed up for. You may modify your booking details if the “Edit” button is available.
When you click the “Edit” button, you will be taken to your ‘Booking Details’ page.
Make your changes, typically for when you have a “TBD” for a teammate, and click on “Update Booking” to save your changes.
Use “Cancel” to cancel your change process.
