It’s the Playoffs and Finals for the King Kong Tournaments MLP Champions League, Sunday, Mar 9, 10a – 2p at Ezell (no Challengers League this weekend)
On the courts 5 & 6, we’ll have #1 Dink Floyd v #4 Born to Rally and on courts 2 & 3, it will be #3 Super DUPRs v #2 Simply Smashing. Winners will move on to the Gold-Silver match and losers play for the Bronze.
The Floyds have been hot all season, going a nearly flawless 19-1 in their matches. Close on their heels were the Smashings, with an equally impressive 17-3 record. Both finished with 15 points for the season.
The Supers trailed BTR all season and finally overtook BTR by defeating them in the final game of the season to steal the divison crown. Both teams earned 11 points with the head-to-head win giving the nod to the Supers. The Supers finishing with a 14-9 record and BTR at 14-7.
Will the undefeateds continue their winning ways to meet for the Gold and Silver or will the underdogs surprise them for a rematch in the finals? Either way, it’s going to be a fabulous finish to the season!
