Who’s ready for some MLP action, King Kong Tournament style? That’s right, the MLP Unlimited Winter League for 2026 starts this Sunday, Jan 25, 10a – 2p, at Ezell and this is not your typical MLP format.
We’ll use the 2024 rules with a twist. Each contest will still feature the Women’s, Men’s and 2 Mixed Doubles. However, each of those doubles matches will instead be best 2 out of 3 instead of your boring one and done.
Twelve teams said, “Challenge Accepted!” and they will be divided into 2 brackets. The season will be separated into 2 halves: the first 5 weeks will be the regular season with the top 3 teams from each bracket moving on to the “Cream of the Courts” championship bracket to play 5 more round robin games, crowning the top 3 teams with Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Fear not as the bottom 3 teams from each bracket will continue to play, too, in the “Gerkins’ consolation bracket and with the top 3 teams also getting a chance to claim medals for the best of the rest.
All that remains is to see who will be cheering and who will be left crying when the games are all said and done!
