Let the fun begin!
We have 18 teams signed up for the Halloween Inflatables Fun Tourney to benefit the Sumter County Special Olympics, Sunday, Oct 26 at Ezell, from 10a to 2p.
Teams will be split into 3 brackets of 6 to play 5 round robin games and followed by as many random games of pickle pong as you can stand!
There will be no losers and the winner will be the athletes of the Sumter County Special Olympics.
The round robin games will be played to 11, win by 1 and you may let the ball bounce twice before returning any shots.
In the pickle pong games, it will be a dinking contest and the rules will depend on the number of 5 gallon buckets (Home Depot/Lowes/Ace/Rural King/Harbor Freight/etc) that we can obtain. If you have any buckets, please bring them to the courts (please write your contact info on the bottom of your bucket). Depending on the number of buckets per court, we’ll adjust the knock out rule accordingly. The object of the game is to eliminate buckets from your opponents court ball by dropping a ball into the bucket. When there are no buckets left, you win!
If you have any paddles that you are no longer using, please bring those along as they will be collected for the Sumter County Special Olympics. And if you wish to have your costumes reused, those can be donated, too!
We will be running a 50/50 raffle: $5 for 5 tickets or $10 for an “arm’s” length.
Come on down to watch the lunacy from courtside and support a great cause! If you can’t make it down, you can tune in to the YT channel to catch the livestream: https://www.youtube.com/@JohnnyKingKong/streams
Let’s Go!
